W4RP Trio, Emelia Ulrich

Hello Everyone,
If you have not already, I encourage you to use the following link to listen to the most recent episode of the TCC Podcast, featuring Josh Henderson and Mikael Darmanie of the W4RP Trio and their album Sermon of the MatriarK.

I had a great time meeting and talking with Josh and Mikael, they are phenomenal artists and their work in the W4RP Trio is something that should be more widely celebrated. The collaborating artist LiKWUiD is also a phenomenal voice, one apparently influential on Sermon of the MatriarK, and I am happy to have continue to platform/support the work of the Trio and LiKWUiD. Admittedly, this episode was recorded many months ago, much closer to the release of Sermon of the MatriarK, and I appreciate the patience of Josh, Mikael and their team in the delays. If you have been keeping up with all of my updates, the past months can be characterized through a number of hills and valleys, lots of things going on. Regardless, the episode turned out wonderful and I implore you, if you haven’t already, go ahead and give the episode and Sermon of the MatriarK a listen.
Thank you again to Josh Henderson and Mikael Darmanie for coming onto the podcast and for sharing their groups album, Sermon of the MatriarK.
I am excited to preview that the next episode of the TCC Podcast is going to feature the composer Emelia Ulrich and her piece Vigil. I have known Emelia for many years, first meeting in the violin studio at University of Florida during our undergraduate studies. In this coming episode, Emelia and I catch up a bit, talk about her musical philosophy, and the piece Vigil. Although I don’t want to give a thorough description of the piece here, as Emelia does it very well in the episode, but it is in dedication to Emelia’s father who passed away in 2021. Because of this, this is going to be the first episode that comes with a content warning at the start of the episode, as the movements of Vigil correspond with stages of grief and remembrance. This is shaping up to be a wonderful episode, and look out for its release this coming Monday!
Again, don’t forget to listen to the most previous episode if you missed it, featuring Mikael and Josh from the W4RP Trio. Make sure to follow our social media links below and the podcast streaming platform of your choice to keep up-to-date on new episodes and blog posts from the TCC. Additionally, set your calendar and or streaming subscriptions to this coming Monday, May 12th, for the episode featuring Emelia Ulrich and her piece Vigil. You won’t want to miss it, and we’ll see you there!
